Lindsey Schuhmacher
I am a graduate of Portland State University, where I earned a Master's degree in English and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy. I work as an English Instructor, both online and in the traditional classroom; my goal as an educator is to help students express themselves more clearly, and improve their critical thinking skills. I love to learn about other cultures and am constantly amazed at how much they teach us about ourselves in return. I am in the (endless) process of learning Spanish and Italian, and have traveled extensively in Italy, as well as to England and Spain. My husband and I were lucky enough to call Bologna, Italy home for four months in 2010, and I can still be found staring wistfully out of windows, daydreaming of life in the bel paese. I also like to live like a tourist in my own city of Portland, OR, and experience the Northwest as though it were fresh and new everyday.
